StarBox Storage Containers

Delivery

Delivery By Tiltbed Trailer

We deliver your container via 40ft tiltbed trailers towed by Ford F350 trucks. For 20ft units going to tight spaces, we subcontract with local towing/wrecker companies to ensure the unit gets just where you need it.

Delivery dimensions required for offloading are:

20ft Units: 70ft Length by 12ft Width by 13ft Height

40ft Units: 110ft Length by 12ft Width by 14ft Height

Placement

Shipping containers can be placed directly on solid level ground. The most important aspect is having the unit 100% level to ensure the heavyweight cargo doors operate smoothly.  If placed at a slight incline/decline, the cargo doors become stiff to operate and only resetting the unit to level will help this issue.  Some customers wish to elevate their unit to avoid water pooling issues near the front cargo doors.  We recommend using cinder blocks, railroad ties, garden pavers, and/or concrete pillars to set the unit on if situation applies to you. Any of those options can be found at your local hardware store. Drivers do assist placing the units on leveling pieces you provide, but do not carry any stock in their trucks.

20ft Truck Delivery

We contract out with 20ft wrecker companies to deliver 20ft containers requiring a tighter fit not accomplished by our 40ft tiltbed trailers.  These services generally cost $100 more than the 40ft tiltbed deliveries, but for tight space fits, they are worth the cost to get it right where you need it.  This video below is a good example of how they offload into a 20ft by 8ft space.
